The great humanistic ideologies need to ally to fight the rise of reactionarism

The rise of Trump ideas and of Islamist communautarism share a common ground. The rise of reactionary ideas are linked to a period that is leading to an oppression that can be compared to colonialism and to moderate forms of esclavagism. The period we live in today show that it is necessary to make humanistic ideas ally to confront and fight these ideas. These ideologies can be classical liberalism, reformism, socialism… Classical ideas have been during centuries able to fight oppressions all over history. They are able to do it again.
The rise of communautarism is an example of what is shown in this aspect. As in the XIXth century, the XXIth century is a period of relative peace when “classical” forms of oppressions are coming back. These kind of scandals happened a lot in the past : colonialism, margalization of different communiites (for instance the Jews)… In our period when classical values are threatened, they are able to face these kind of reactionary oppression that can lead to fascism, even to Nazism in a longer term. It is the reason why it is important to resist to this trend.
Promoting culture and knowledge, dialog between cultures, investing into learning languages than can contribute, apart from an efficient way to fight unemployment, contribute to this dialog, can be solutions to fight this oppression. As it has always been the case, the lack of education is favouring dictatures, oppressions and totalitarism. In 1984 Orwell was already writing that creating a simplified language was useful to fight the opposition to the totalitarian regime, as it is a way to prevent people to think by themselves. For those reason it is necessary to promote education the best way possible.
Otherwise advocating a real cooperation between great humanistic ideas concerning subjects such as communautarism can be efficient. These cooperations are often not sufficient enough. To this extend this cooperation is necessary as the reactionary trends are spreading wordwide, and a great deal in the Western world. The classical values that are threatened are able to confront and defeat these threats, it is the reason why they need to collaborate more with this target, and to do it also a more international way. Collaborating between different countries and cultures around the same values can be enriching and efficient to at least be able to confront these worrying trends.
