It looks that the European elections are not taken seriously enough into account. To this extend it is possible to say that Europe has to change a new way. It looks too far from people and is it is extremely detrimental to its interests. That is the reason why it looks important to see what is at stake to this extend.
First Europe can give a framework that can be a response to the globalization. Concerning the demography only a space of 600 billion people will be able to weight against a rising China, even India, or create an equilibrium with the United States. This truth has to be restaured. Moreover Europe has to be an investment for the future. It looks necessary to build more European champions, and to sustain more ambitious environmental European project, as Biden did in the United States.
But it looks necessary to do a pause. The extension of Europe cannot build a really efficient policy in the short run. It looks detrimental to consolidate Europe today, and reform European rules to make decisions easier to take. The problem is that ambitious investment plans for the Space, the new technologies are necessary. The 2030 investment plan of Emmanuel Macron is linked to that. However it is detrimental to build more partnerships at a European scale. The Green Pact can be a solution to build more environmental ambitious projects ; however free exchange agreements like the CETA can make lose credibility to such a demeanor.
Europe is a great way to overcome the wars of the past and to build a efficient strength for the future. It is detrimental to be able to balance the rise of Asia and the growing isolationism of the United States. But it looks that the evolution of society is necessary to be taken into account as well. In many European countries there are less and less teachers. The conditions of work and a more violent society are making working conditions degrade in many European countries. It is a sign of decadence and a danger in the middle/long run. It is also necessary to focus on an economical development.
About migration Europe has to invest a lot more in welcoming better refugees, but also reforming its international policy to make those migration movements decrease. It is the reason why investing in education for refugees is necessary : building for instance classes to prepare certificates of language can be a solution. Nothing is very organized to this extend, and it looks necessary to rethink these policies. Encouraging entrepreneurial initiatives for refugees can be also a solution. For instance organizations like Singa encourage these possibilities. That is the reason why the European Union has to encourage more social entrepreneurs and the Social economy sector. There are funds organized but an even more active policy about this economy. It can also encourage a social market economy which is a goal often stated by Ursula Van der Leyen.
Those factors show that Europe has a major role to play today and tomorrow. But it needs more ambition to be able to compete with other great powers, and make its values weight. To this instance a lot of work has to be done. Those aspects are necessary to build long term success for those policies.
